Shoah
Auschwitz war prisons
Prisoners
Terrible concentration camps
Unbearable starvation, screaming, destruction
Forced labor
Mass shootings into mass graves
A madman’s hell
Beatings, gas chambers
Jews had nowhere to hide, escape
You were a hunted animal
Holocaust, execution of Jews
Total darkness
Terrible memories
Few survived
Nazis, Gestapo
Lies, barbarity
Liquidation of bodies
Unbearable
Depression
Everyone was deported or shot

Rationale

My poem is basically about the concentration camps and my word choice describes the feelings and thoughts of the prisoners in the camps. It shows how bad the conditions were and especially how bad the Jews were treated by the Nazis. The main word is ‘Shoah’ which means holocaust, and it’s the title of my poem because my poem is all about the holocaust and how bad it really was for Jewish people living in Germany and other European countries during World War two. I shows all the fear and sadness that the prisoners of the concentration camps were feeling and it brings those emotions forward into the people reading the poem.
